Optical Fiber
FPGA's serial connectivity blocks can be connected to an external Optical transceiver and provide a high speed low latency connectivity channel.
For a complete end to end solution the fiber interface on the FPGA is integrated with the PCIe Bus-Mastering block and forms a high bandwidth link between the Host Computer and a remote unit.
This solution is ideal for industrial, Military or Medical applications that require very high throughput.

Thunderbolt™
Thunderbolt™ is a hardware interface that allows for the connection of external peripherals to a computer. It has a transfer speed of 10 Gbit/s per channel over copper wire and 20 Gb/s per channel using optical cabling. It uses the same connector as Mini DisplayPort . Thunderbolt combines PCIe and DisplayPort into one serial signal alongside a DC connection for electric power, transmitted over one cable. Up to seven peripherals may be supported by one connector through various topologies.

COM Express
COM Express, an x86 computer-on-module form factor, is a highly integrated and compact PC that can be used in a design application much like an integrated circuit component. Each COM Express Module COM integrates core CPU and memory functionality, the common I/O of a PC - PCIe, USB, audio, graphics, Ethernet and . All I/O signals are mapped to two high density, low profile connectors on the bottom side of the module.
Together with our FPGA-based PCIe solutions, any video/data streaming/communication solution can be embedded on your carrier board, minimizing BOM and the need to pay for expensive video capture/frame grabber cards, communication cards etc.
